The below are complete contraindications of plasma pen treatment and so cannot be offered appointments:
- Pregnancy or breast feeding
- Metal pins or plates near the treatment area
- Pacemakers or serious heart conditions
- Cardiovascular disorders
- Cancer patients as treatment may hinder normal processes
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy if last fit has taken place within 2 years
- Uncontrolled blood pressure issues
- Blood disorders
- Auto immune disorders
- Fitzoatrick scale 5 and 6 ( darker skin tones due to hyperpigmentation)
- Lupus
- Keloid scarring
- Herpes simplex
- Shingles
- Psoriasis or active eczema
- Active cold or flu
- Infections
- Accutane & Roaccutane
- Retinal
- Allergies or reactions to lidocaine or any ingredient ending in “caine” in topical aesthetic creams
